Chasing his passion for food Chef Salvador Xava Arciniega has traveled and worked in the best restaurants on both coasts of the country and in Mexico. He honed his craft working and learning at influential San Francisco and Bay Area restaurants and farms. As the Marketing and Culinary Team Leader for Whole Foods Market Northern California, Chef Salvador helped form the vision for organic retail marketing in the Silicon Valley.
Salvador also taught at the prestigious French Culinary Institute and The International Culinary Center as lead instructor. Chef Salvador hails from Baja California and thus has a long-standing passion for indigenous food culture and techniques of his native Mexico along with interests in pre-Hispanic and biodynamic agriculture. His goal is to showcase the diversity of traditional indigenous gastronomy while also adapting it to local Californian ingredients and modern techniques.
Chef Salvador holds a degree in Culinary Arts & Wine Appreciation from San Francisco’s Cordon Bleu California Culinary Academy
